Recently the MJAA's Joseph Project was invited to an event with the Deputy Mayor and a collection of city personnel to receive our donation of a transport van to the Sderot Volunteer Unit. Officials had been asking us for a van for over a year. We presented a large version of a key and a check to make the event fun. The Deputy Mayor gave a speech thanking us abundantly.
Sderot is where missiles from Hamas in Gaza fall daily, and people have only seconds to take shelter. We are grateful our partners made it possible to help this beleaguered city with this van. Shortly after presenting this van to Sderot, the Orthodox Deputy Mayor brought us into his office to say some very kind words to us and to present us with a symbolic key to the city.
