Middle East Tensions Grow as the Western World Fails to Stop Iran

The Western World with its compromising attitude has learned what it means to deal gently with Fundamentalist Islamic regimes. President Obama, adopting a friendly approach in his administration's efforts to stop Iran from developing nuclear capability, can watch now how his doctrine collapses.

Eeki ElnerThis doctrine: attempting to build a bridge with the Arab World while surrendering to China's constant refusal to impose sanctions on Iran has seriously hurt the USA position as Leader of the Free World. Additionally, it resulted in creating a true threat to the very existence of Israel while damaging US security in the future.

No matter what the Western World – led by Obama – will try to do now, the fact is that Iran has made a fool of the world for several years now; and while the "watch dogs were sleeping,” it obtained a non-reversible ability to enrich Uranium in a high quality.

Many would say now that this leaves Israel with fewer options to prevent Iran from having a military nuclear ability. The danger to the rest of the world is evident and immediate.

We know that Iran, more than any other country, is willing to export instability and terror as part of its foreign policy. We saw what they did when we were in Iraq. The Iranians funded some of the insurgency and supplied and trained them. We have seen their role with Hezbollah and Hamas. Do we really want to add nuclear material into that particular mix? If Iran becomes a nuclear-weapon state, Turkey is likely to be next, quickly followed by Saudi Arabia and Egypt. Thus, you will have a nuclear arms race in the world's most unstable region. Do we really want to have this as our legacy to the next generation, after we just finished celebrating 20 years of the end of the Cold War?
