A Light In These Last Days
As the Hanukkah season rapidly approaches, I find that its call to be “a light in the darkness” has taken on a whole new meaning in these end times. Personally, I know it’s impacting me in a more serious, somber way this year.
So what does it mean to be a “light” in these last days and why is it more difficult now than ever before?
Israeli Election Less About Conflict, More About Economy
Yet another public opinion poll in the run-up to Israel’s early election scheduled for March 17 revealed on Wednesday that a merger between the two leading centrist parties would lead to victory at the ballot box.
According to the poll commissioned by Ha’aretz, if former Finance Minister Yair Lapid’s Yesh Atid faction were to join forces with the newly formed Kulanu party of former Likud star Moshe Kahlon, the resulting list would win 24 seats in the next Knesset.
The Temple Mount: To the Jew First
Palestinian politicians are working overtime stirring their angry population in and around Jerusalem into a frenzy of violence and terror, demanding that no Jews be allowed to enter the Temple Mount, Judaism’s holiest site.
They have convinced the international community that Jews should be barred from visiting or praying at the compound because it is home to the Mosque of Al-Aqsa, the third holiest place in Islam.
But the Muslims are not the only ones fighting for this ban. Incredibly, much of the Jewish leadership in Israel supports it too. Read more...
